MANILA, Philippines — At the time of intensified efforts to stop the spread of novel coronavirus, some concerts and events in Pasay City were either canceled or rescheduled.
In a statement, Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano asked organizers of Seventeen K-Pop boy band concert and other events for the month of February to be reminded of health risks due to the threat of the new coronavirus.
Here is the updated list of events and their new schedule:
-Seventeen K-Pop Concert at Mall of Asia will push through on Feb. 8 (Saturday) but concert-goers must come early at the venue. The gates open as early as 11 a.m.
-The fan meeting for the cast of Korean Variety Show “Running Man” which was scheduled for Feb. 9 (Sunday) at Mall of Asia Arena was moved to June 21.
-Acer’s Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 tournament which was supposed to be held from Feb. 19 to Feb. 23 in Mall of Asia, Arena was canceled. Organizers have yet to announce a tentative schedule for the event.
-The concert of pop band 98 Degrees on Feb. 25 at Mall of Asia Arena was rescheduled for May 21.
-The convention of Tzu Chi Foundation on Feb. 29 in Pasay was also postponed. Pasay government said concerned parties must wait for further announcement.
