2 ‘shabu’ peddlers fall in Quezon buy-bust

LUCENA CITY –– Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Tiaong town in Quezon province on Wednesday night, police said Thursday.

Jaypee De Ocampo, 22, and Joemari Astrologo, 25, were collared by local police drug enforcement unit after they sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay Lagalag at 7:10 p.m., Tiaong police said in a report.

Authorities seized five plastic sachets of shabu worth P10,740 in the street market.

The suspects were detained at the local police jail and are facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
