Some domestic flights suspended on Feb. 5 due to bad weather

MANILA, Philippines — Some local airlines canceled domestic flights on Wednesday, Feb. 5 due to inclement weather as warned by the government’s weather bureau, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said.

In a 6 p.m. flight advisory, Miaa said the following flights going to and from Siargao are canceled:

(DG) – Cebgo

DG 6839 – Manila-Siargao

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) earlier announced that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will persist over Mindanao caused by a localized thunderstorm.

The weather bureau also warned of flooding and landslides in Mindanao areas.
