Caloocan drug suspect yields P720,000 worth of marijuana leaves, fruiting tops
MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a drug suspect in Caloocan City after he allegedly yielded P720,000 worth of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops in a buy-bust operation.
The operation was launched against Luke Kim Castro, 29, at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot of a mall along MacArthur Highway, District 1 in Barangay 78 Zone 7, according to a report from the Northern Police District (NPD) on Wednesday.
According to the NPD, the buy-bust was conducted by its District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) based on intelligence information.
Aside from the illegal drugs, also confiscated from the suspect were the marked cash used in the bust.
The suspect was brought to the DDEU office of the NPD as he faces charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs.
