MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or “amihan” continues to generate relatively cooler weather in Luzon and Visayas and is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain shower over Eastern Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)said.
Temperature in Metro Manila will range from a low of 22 degrees Celsius to a high of 30 degrees Celsius.
Meantime, the low-pressure area (LPA) Pagasa is monitoring was last spotted 1, 015 km east of Davao City.
Pagasa said there is a low chance that the LPA will develop into a storm.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin on Wednesday, Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides in rain-affected areas.
Partly cloudy skies to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorm are expected in Mindanao due to localized thunderstorm.
The state weather bureau likewise warned of possible flooding and landslides.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau said Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong northeast winds and moderate to rough (1.2 – 2.8 meters) coastal waters.
Mindanao will have moderate northeast to north winds and moderate (1.2 to 2.5 meters) coastal waters.
