Bloody ending in Bulacan buy-bust: 3 suspects killed

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan—Three suspected drug dealers were killed in what police said was a clash here at dawn on Monday (Feb. 3).

Col. Orlando Castil, the town’s police chief, identified the slain suspects as Jay-ar Borromeo and a certain alias “Liit” and alias “Junior.”

Castil said Borromeo had been on a list of suspects of the local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Police said the three resisted arrest when they were caught selling shabu, or crystal meth, to an undercover agent. Police returned fire, leading to the gunfight and the suspects’ killing.

Police said they found on the slain suspects a homemade .38 caliber revolver. Also seized from the three was a tricycle.
