MANILA, Philippines – The northeast monsoon, or amihan, will continue to bring cloudy skies and light rainfall over most parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Sunday afternoon.

In its 4 p. m. forecast, Pagasa said cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region due to the amihan.

In addition, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Due to moderate to strong winds brought by amihan, gale warning is up along the eastern seaboard of the country. Small fishing vessels are not allowed to sail due to waves that could reach 4.5 meters high.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said it was not monitoring any low-pressure area that could develop into a storm in the next three to five days.
