Feb. 2: Etag Festival

Culmination of the annual festival in Sagada in Mountain Province that showcases the town’s unique culture and promotes ecotourism.

“Etag” means pork meat preserved through salting, sun drying or smoking, a cooking process that has been vital in different rituals in Sagada.

Activities such as battle of the bands, tug of war and fun run will close out the festivities.

Last day of Chinese New Year celebrations in Bacolod City in Negros Occidental.

Started in 2005, the festival aims to provide better understanding to Filipinos of the Chinese culture.
