UPDATE: Magnitude 4.9 quake jolts Davao Del Sur
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.9 quake hit Davao del Sur on Friday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said that the quake was recorded at 7:18 p.m., with the epicenter located 15 kilometers southeast of Kiblawan in Davao del Sur.
The quake, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of 25 kilometers.
Phivolcs initially reported the quake’s magnitude at 5.2 before updating it at 4.9.
