DID YOU KNOW (registered live births)

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, 728,157 live births were registered in the country from January to June 2019. Of this number, 379,451 were male while 348,706 were female. Among cities nationwide, Quezon City reported the highest number of registered births with 22,418 or 3.1 percent of the total, followed by the City of Manila with 14,831 births or two percent of the total. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
