3 alleged illegal miners nabbed in Camarines Norte

LEGAZPI CITY — Three alleged illegal miners have been arrested in Labo town in Camarines Norte province afternoon, police said Friday.

Lt. Col Juancho Ibis, chief of Labo police, identified the suspects as Alvin Mendoza, 22, and Juangho Madera, 28, both of Labo town; and Jobert Delos Santos, 19, of Barangay Mangkasay in Paracale town.

Suspects were caught in the act of engaging in illegal exploration in Barangay Benit in Labo town at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Recovered from their possession were three cap lamps, submersible water pump, shovel, hammer, two jackhammer blades, and two mallets. Ma. April Mier-Manjares
