2 drug pushers fall in Quezon buy-busts

LUCENA CITY –– Two alleged notorious drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in this city and Lucban town in Quezon province early Friday.

Lt. Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said members of the local drug enforcement unit arrested Christopher Abandia, 42, after he sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police agent in Barangay Isabang here around 7 a.m.

The suspect yielded six plastic sachets of shabu worth P4,218 when sold in the local street market.

Police said Abandia is on the list of drug personalities as a notorious street-level pusher.

Meanwhile, John Cerwin Pavino, 38, was nabbed by policemen in another drug sting in Barangay 7, Lucban around 2:30 a.m., a report from the Lucban police said.

Authorities seized shabu worth P3,108 from the suspect, who is also known as a notorious drug pusher in the locality./lzb
