Comelec seeks early notice of satellite registration

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has directed its election officers to announce the schedules of satellite registration in their respective areas at least three days earlier so the public would be adequately informed. “The public should look for these announcements in the different Offices of Election Officers when they go to register. We hope this will add to their convenience,” said Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez. The voter registration period for the May 2022 national and local polls began on Jan. 20 and will run until Sept. 30, 2021. —Tina Santos
