Metro Manila police officers extend assistance to Taal evacuees

BATANGAS CITY, Philippines — Police officers from all over Metro Manila have extended their help on Thursday to victims of the Taal Volcano eruption.

Personnel from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) brought food, water, and clothing, and blankets for evacuees located here at the Paaralang Central ng North Sto. Tomas.

They also distributed medical kits to the evacuees.

NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas is also expected to go to the venue and lead the police officers in conducting the mission.

Residents from other Batangas towns were evacuated here after the Taal Volcano spewed ash and steam on Jan. 12.
