Manila, Philippines—President Rodrigo Duterte’s scheduled one-on-one interview with his spokesman and legal counsel Salvador Panelo on Wednesday evening has been moved to a later date, Malacañang said.

Citing “pressing matters,” the Palace announced that the interview has been moved to Jan. 28, 2020.

Panelo earlier announced that he will have another live one-on-one interview with the President to discuss about matters of national concern.

Panelo and Duterte had their first live one-on-one interview on September 2018, wherein they talked about the suspension of the amnesty granted to the President’s fierce critic, former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, the supposed destabilization plots, the martial law in Mindanao, the re-opening of Boracay Island, the entry of a third telecommunications company, and rice supply crisis, among others.
