Cops nab three for burglary
POLICE arrested three of five suspects including a minor for burglarizing an auto shop and carting away P50,000 worth of equipment in barangay Umapad, Mandaue City, last Saturday morning.
Benjie Baclohan, 18; Jermy Dabilan, 18; and a 15-year-old boy are detained at the Opao police precinct pending the filing of theft charges. Two of their cohorts remain at large.
Police initial investigation revealed that Baclohan together with four others were spotted in the vicinity of Oloy auto shop at 9 a.m.
Police said a witness saw the men transporting equipment from the auto shop.
After three hours, Crispolo Tuñacao discovered that his auto shop was burglarized and noted that several items were missing. Among them were a toolbox; ignition pump worth P22,000; cylinder bolt worth P1,500; heavy jack worth P3,000; router water pump priced at P5,000; alternator bracket worth P1,800; coper tube worth P2,000; and aluminum cap worth P1,500.
In a hot pursuit operation, police arrested the three suspects and recovered only the toolbox.
