Jan. 19-20: Kaisa Festival
Culmination of the fourth edition of the annual festival in Tarlac City, Tarlac province, that honors its patron St. Sebastian. This year’s theme is “Isang Layunin, Pagkakaisa ang Adhikain.” Closing festivities include a night market, music festival, grand float parade and homecoming night. Jan. 19 to Jan. 25
Jan. 16-25: Langub Festival
The festival, whose name also means “cave,” in Mabinay town, Negros Oriental province, aims to raise awareness and promote the protection of the caves.
Activities include an agro and livelihood fair, color fun run, civic parade, street dancing and acoustic band competition.
Jan. 23-26: Dinagyang Festival
The religious festival in Iloilo City in Iloilo province that pays tribute to the Sto. Niño was inspired by the Ati-
Atihan in Kalibo town in Aklan and Sinulog Festival in Cebu City.
This year’s festival theme is “Perfect Vision: Celebrating the Ilonggo Spirit in Honor of Señor Sto. Niño.” There will be a food festival, fluvial and foot procession, parade of lights and religious “sadsad” (street dancing).
