Voter registration reset in parts of Batangas, Cavite‍‍‍‍‍

The Commission on Elections has suspended the planned voters’ registration this Monday in several Batangas and Cavite cities and towns affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.

In Batangas, the towns within the danger zone where voters’ registration has been suspended are Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Laurel, Lemery, Mataas na Kahoy, San Nicolas, Sta. Teresita, Taal and Talisay.

Localities entirely or partly outside the danger zone—namely Balayan, Calaca, Calatagan, Cuenca, Lian, Mabini, San Luis, Tuy and Lipa City in Batangas, as well as Alfonso, Amadeo, Indang, Silang and Tagaytay City in Cavite—will also not have voters registration for the meantime. —JEROME ANING
