Teacher from Navotas falls in drug bust in Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY–A 40-year-old teacher from Navotas City was arrested in a buy-bust operation in San Leonardo town, Nueva Ecija province on Thursday (Jan. 17), police said.

Police identified the suspect as Virgilio Gaspar, who was caught selling a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover agent during the operation around 8 p.m. at the village of Tabuating.

Col. Leon Victor Rosete, Nueva Ecija police director, said authorities also recovered from the suspect another pack of shabu and the P500 marked money used during the operation.
