Overstaying fees waived for delays from airport closure
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration on Wednesday said it was waiving fees for foreigners who overstayed in the country following the closure of the international airport due to the eruption of Taal Volcano.
But port operations division chief Grifton Medina clarified that only nationals whose departure flights were delayed during the two-day closure would be exempt from overstaying fines.
