MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has designated Maj. Gen. Allen Paredes as new commanding general of the Philippine Air Force.
Malacañang released Wednesday Paredes’ appointment papers addressed to Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana
Paredes will be replacing Lt. Gen. Rozzano Briguez, who will reach the compulsory retirement age of 56 on January 17.
Prior to being appointed as Air Force chief, Paredes served as commander of the Air Logistics Command.
Paredes is a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Maringal” class of 1988.
