3 suspects arrested in killing of teen in Manila on New Year

MANILA,  Philippines — Police have arrested the three suspects in the murder of a 17-year-old in Manila shortly after the New Year, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer 990AM.

They were identified as Dante Jacinto, Robert Palacio and Danilo Romalios, the main suspect in the shooting of Ferdinand Mendoza at past 1 a.m. of January 1 right in front of the Jose Reyes Medical Center in Sta. Cruz, the report said.

Mendoza died as he was being treated for three gunshot wounds to the chest after he was beaten by the suspects following an altercation inside a jeepney that they all rode, it said.

The suspects fled but were arrested in the ensuing follow-up operation.
