ORMOC CITY –– A member of the Civilian Armed Force Geographical Unit was killed by a suspected member of the New People’s Army at 10:40 on Thursday, January 9, in Jipapad town, Eastern Samar.
Police Lt. Col Bella Rentuaya, spokesperson of the Eastern Visayas police, identified the suspect as Alexis Pajares.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds on his body.
Pajares’ body was brought to a local funeral parlor for autopsy, while operatives of Jipapad police are investigating the incident.
