According to the October 2019 Labor Force Survey recently published by the Philippine Statistics Authority, the percentage distribution of employed persons by major occupation group was as follows: elementary occupations (26 percent); service and sales workers (18.6 percent); skilled agricultural, forestry and fishery workers (12.1 percent); managers (11.3 percent); plant and machine operations and assemblers (7.9 percent); craft and related trades workers (7.6 percent); clerical support workers (6.4 percent); professionals (6 percent); technicians and associate professionals (3.9 percent), and armed forces occupations (.2 percent). —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
