MANILA, Philippines — A former mayor of a Lanao del Sur town was arrested on Wednesday in Quezon City for reckless imprudence.
Operatives of Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) successfully arrested Jeremy Guiab – who served as vice mayor and municipal councilor of Wao, Lanao del Sur – in Barangay Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
Guiab has been wanted by authorities since May 2019 after a warrant of arrest for reckless imprudence resulting in damage of property was issued against him by Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 42.
Police said Guiab is currently under the custody of PNP-AKG before being turned over to the issuing court.
