MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a woman and two men after they sold a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover agent on Saturday morning.

The Quezon City Police District identified the suspects as Margarita Moreno, 31, Ronald Dellona, 39, and Remuel Gonzales, 43.

They were also caught in possession of a 22 revolver with live ammunition during a buy-bust operation at 6:30 a.m. in front of the Sto. Domingo Church along Quezon Avenue in Barangay Santo Domingo in Quezon City on Saturday morning, police said.

Investigator Cpl. Allen Christian Camangon of Quezon City police station 1 told INQUIRER.net that the suspects asked the undercover policeman to undertake their transaction near the church so that they can immediately escape because they live near the area.

“Very accessible siya. Kapag nagmamadali, kasi taga- Santo. domingo kaya madaling kumalas, [It is very accessible for them. If they are in a hurry because they are residents of Barangay Sto. Domingo so it will be easier for them to flee.],” Camangon said.

Seized from the suspects were 30 grams of shabu worth P204,000, marked money worth P1,000, two weighing scales, one revolver and live ammunition. Police said the seized firearm had no license.

The three are now detained at the Quezon City police station and would be charged with violating the  Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition.
