LEGAZPI CITY — The number one drug watch-listed personality in Legazpi City in Albay province was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Friday afternoon, police said Saturday.

Police Captain Dexter Panganiban, information officer of Albay police, said the suspect Mark Angelo Jesalva, 31, a resident of Barangay (village) San Roque, was arrested in Barangay Taysan at around 5:25 p.m.

Confiscated from the suspect was a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing about 2.5 grams with an estimated street value of P7,000.

Panganiban said the suspect was a drug surrenderer and a fire protection installer.

Fire Inspection Aramis Aristhedes Balde, information officer of the Bureau of Fire Protection, said a fire protection installer is an individual connected to a private company who installs fire protection equipment.
