Sigue-sigue gang member killed in clash with police

A member of Sigue-Sigue Commando Gang was killed in an armed encounter with policemen from the Manila Police District (MPD) on Thursday in Tondo, Manila.

Operatives of MPD Station 3 Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) had set up a drug sting against Dolmar Doctolero on Almeda Street, Tondo.

According to the report of Station 3 DEU chief, Police Capt. Kherwin Evangelista, the suspect sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover cop.

After the transaction, policemen approached the suspect but Doctolero reportedly fired at the law enforcers.

The suspect was hit and was rushed to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival at 11:35 p.m. Found in the crime scene were a .22-cal. revolver loaded with three bullets and empty shells.
