MANILA, Philippines — A Chinese restaurant in Makati City was closed on Friday following a recent gas leak explosion that injured four Chinese nationals, police said.
Members of Makati police and Makati government’s Business Permit Office served the closure order to Judianchuanba Restaurant along Barangay San Antonio.
The order stated that the restaurant was shut down for violation of Section 4A.01 of the Revised Makati Revenue Code City Ordinance No. 2004-A-025 which is guidelines for establishments in the city.
Makati police chief Col. Rogelio Simon, quoting the chief of the Makati Business Permit and Licensing Office, said the restaurant was padlocked due to the absence of business permit.
The victims were identified as Cao Yue Qzang, the restaurant’s cook, and its staff, Zhang Liang, Tang Ting, and Yun Long Liu. They are all confined at the Makati Medical Center.
