‘Habal-habal’ driver nabbed in Albay drug sting

LEGAZPI CITY –– Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Friday morning a “habal-habal” (illegal motorcycle for hire) driver selling a suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) in a drug sting in Ligao City in Albay province.

Arrested was Armando Restom Jr., 32, resident of Barangay Paulba, said Police Capt. Dexter Panganiban, Albay police spokesperson.

The suspect was caught selling two sachets of shabu to an undercover police operative around 8:45 a.m. in his village.

The suspect did not resist arrest and was detained at the city police detention facility./lzb
