Fire hits commercial building in Recto, Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Fire struck a commercial establishment along Recto Avenue in Manila Thursday afternoon, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

A report from the BFP-National Capital Region Public Information Office said the fire reached second alarm at 4:33 p.m.

Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) said the fire broke out at commercial establishments in front of Far Eastern University (FEU) along Morayta Street.

The blaze was declared under control at 5:12 p.m. and declared fire out at 5:44 p.m. by the BFP.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of fire.
