MANILA, Philippines — Passengers will now have to pay P10 more for the card issuance fee charged for beep cards (stored value tickets) starting 2020.

In an advisory on Thursday, the LRT management told passengers that the card issuance fee of the stored value tickets will be increased from P20 to P30 effective January 1, 2020.

According to the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), the said increase is in compliance with Section 16.5.b of the concession agreement between the Department of Transportation and the AF Payments Inc. regarding the card issuance fee charged for stored value tickets.
