Smooth traffic in north, south expressways on New Year’s Eve
MANILA, Philippines – Traffic conditions at the country’s major expressways on Tuesday, New Year’s Eve, are light, according to updates posted on the tollways’ official social media pages.
The live monitoring system of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) showed a smooth flow of vehicles along its major entry and exit points, like the Balintawak Toll Plaza, Mindanao Avenue Exit, and Bocaue Toll Plaza.
The same can be said for the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx), including both lanes of the Ayala Toll Plaza, Alabang Viaduct, and the Calamba Toll Plaza.

According to SMC Tollways, which manages SLEx, Skyway, NAIA Expressway,, Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway, and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road, toll fees from 10 p.m. of December 31 to 6 a.m. of January 1 would be waived as part of the holiday celebrations.
