MANILA, Philippines — Five people died after a van rammed into a tricycle in Mulanay town of Quezon province on Tuesday morning, police said.
A report from Quezon Police Provincial Office said the tricycle with four passengers was traversing the national highway in Barangay Santa Rosa when an overtaking van, driven by Arnel Auriada Tesico, going to Catanauan, Quezon lost control and crashed into the tricycle at 8:30 a.m.
Passengers and the tricycle driver suffered fatal injuries and were rushed to the hospital where they later died.
Police said they are still investigating the incident.
