MANILA, Philippines — As 2019 is about to end, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has recorded a zero backlog of pending cases involving “rogue” police officers since 2013, the officer-in-charge of the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday.
“The NCRPO is very proud to announce na yung kanilang pending cases na since 2013 [that their pending cases since 2013] pa… nag-zero backlog sila [they have zero backlog cases.],” Lt. Gen. Francisco Archie Gamboa told dzMM.
Gamboa said the resolved cases include both minor and major cases involving errant police officers in Metro Manila.
The NCRPO is currently being led by Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas, who was appointed after the post was vacated by Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar who was promoted as the PNP’s Chief of Directorial Staff.
