2 nabbed in Albay drug sting
DARAGA, ALBAY, Philippines — A suspected drug dealer and her male companion were arrested on Sunday night by police anti-illegal drug operatives for possession of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P54,000 during a buy-bust in Daraga town in Albay province, a police report said Monday.
Arrested were Haydeliza Gonzales, 45, resident of Barangay (village) Cullat, and Rudyard Abache, 42, resident of Barangay 8 in Legazpi City, said Police Capt. Dexter Panganiban, Albay police spokesperson.
The suspects were caught selling shabu to an undercover police agent during the drug buy-bust at around 10 p.m. at the residence of Gonzales. The police seized four sachets of suspected shabu from the suspects.
Panganiban said Gonzales was a “high value target” and is included in the list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s priority targets while Abache was a former drug surrenderer.
