Robredo: No regrets on her short stint at Icad

/ 05:20 AM December 30, 2019

No regrets, says Vice President Leni Robredo, on her stint as cochair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (Icad), which was cut short after President Rodrigo Duterte sacked her after only 18 days in her new post.

In her yearend wrap-up in her radio show on Sunday, the Vice President said that she made sure to use her “limited” time wisely in understanding the country’s drug problem.

“Within those 18 days, we made sure to stretch the time given us. From morning ‘til night, we reached out to as many organizations, agencies and sectors as we could,” Robredo said on Sunday.

“We did the best we could, given the circumstances … And now that I have been removed from the post, we will remain in our advocacy,” she added. —JHESSET O. ENANO
