Fire hits residential area in Tondo, Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Fire struck a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Sunday morning, the Manila Fire Department reported.

In a phone interview with INQUIRER.net, the city fire department said the fire swept through several houses along Gate 10 of the Parola Compound in Tondo at 10:45 a.m.

Twenty minutes later, the fire was raised at fourth alarm. It was declared under control after 30 minutes.

Firefighters completely extinguished the fire at 1:19 p.m.
