MANILA, Philippines — Commuters of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) may get free rides on certain hours during the commemoration of Rizal Day on December 30.
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) on Monday said the free rides could be availed from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. that day.
“Gunitain ang kanyang kabayanihan (Remember his heroism). Padayon, Pilipinas!” it said in a Twitter post.

December 30 was declared as Rizal Day to mark the anniversary of Jose Rizal’s execution at Bagumbayan in Manila in 1986.
