Farmer gunned down in Oriental Mindoro town
CITY OF CALAPAN — A farmer was shot and killed on Saturday night in Bongabong town in Oriental Mindoro province, police said Sunday.
A report from the Mimaropa police said that Ruben Gaboc, 53, was shot by unidentified gunmen in Sitio (sub-village) Looban in Barangay (village) San Isidro at about 11:20 p.m. Mimaropa stands for Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan.
Gaboc was with his grandson Christian Ivan De Leon aboard a motorcycle when the suspects tailed on them, police said.

The suspects shot the farmer several times, hitting him on his nape and right leg. The suspects fled after the incident.
