PCG: Over 86,000 passengers troop to seaports

MANILA, Philippines — More than 86,000 passengers trooped to various seaports nationwide four days before Christmas Day, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported Saturday.

Data released by PCG showed a total of 86,239 outbound passengers monitored in various seaports from 6:01 a.m. to 12:00 noon of December 21.

The bulk of the passengers were reported in Central and Western Visayas, which has 18, 696 and 15,509 passengers, respectively.

Below is the breakdown of passengers in ports as monitored by PCG:

NCR-Central Luzon – 1,460

South Western Mindanao – 3,814

Palawan – 5,534

Southern Tagalog – 11,820

Western Visayas – 15,509

North Western Luzon -271

South Eastern Mindanao –   4,366
