2 nabbed in Makati for selling fake MMFF complimentary tickets
MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested Saturday two individuals caught selling fake complimentary tickets for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in Makati City.
Police identified the suspects as Hanna Evangelista and Carlo Jaramilla, both 21 years old. They were collared in an entrapment operation at 11:30 a.m. in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo.
The entrapment was jointly launched by personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit, Special Action Force, and the Metro Manila Development Authority.
Seized during the operation were 200 fake MMFF complimentary tickets, and marked cash worth P2,250, according to an initial report from CIDG.
Lt. Col. Arnold Ibay, director of the CIDG-National Capital Region, said the suspects will be charged for violation of Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code and Article 172 for falsification of documents.
Police said further investigation is ongoing.
