MANILA, Philippines — Tens of thousands of commuters and motorists were immobilized by traffic on major roads in Metro Manila on Friday, Dec. 20, the last weekend before Christmas Day.

Parts of the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue’s (EDSA) northbound and southbound lanes are under moderate and heavy traffic as of 4:30 p.m.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) also reported vehicular accidents and stalling due to vehicles having mechanical issues along EDSA.

Some netizens shared their dismay on social media.
