MANILA, Philippines — Tens of thousands of commuters and motorists were immobilized by traffic on major roads in Metro Manila on Friday, Dec. 20, the last weekend before Christmas Day.
Parts of the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue’s (EDSA) northbound and southbound lanes are under moderate and heavy traffic as of 4:30 p.m.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) also reported vehicular accidents and stalling due to vehicles having mechanical issues along EDSA.

Photos shared with INQUIRER.net also show slow-moving traffic along Aurora Boulevard Underpass en route to Cubao Hypermarket.
Parts of the southbound and northbound lane of Quezon Avenue are also under moderate to heavy traffic as of 4:30 p.m.
Heavy traffic was also reported in parts of Espana and C5, as well as South Luzon Expressway.
