MANILA, Philippines – Twenty-three persons were injured when three vehicles figured in a collision Thursday night along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Barangay Ligas, Malolos, Bulacan.
The Malolos City police on Friday said a Nissan commuter van accidentally rear-ended a Toyota pickup, which then, in turn, rear-ended a Mitsubishi SUV at around 6:30 p.m.
Police said the Toyota and Mitsubishi vehicles were moving slowly due to traffic buildup on the South-bound section of the expressway when the accident took place.
Rescuers and first responders attended to the injured and helped transport some of them to hospital.
