MANILA, Philippines – Several domestic flights were canceled on Friday due to inclement weather.
The Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa), in an advisory, announced the cancellation of the following flights as of 9 a.m.:
Cebu Pacific
5J 196 Manila-Cauayan
5J 197 Cauayan -Manila
The trough of a low-pressure area is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Caraga region, Davao region, Northern Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas, the state weather bureau said.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon province.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration added that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms also due to the easterlies will prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
