Teener driving motorcycle without license at high speed killed in crash with SUV

REINA MERCEDES, Isabela–A 16-year-old student died after a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) hit the motorcycle he was driving along the national highway here on Wednesday (Dec. 19), police said.

Capt. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson, identified the victim as John Erol Ramos, a Grade 11 student from the village of Sinippil.

Littaua said Ramos was driving at a high speed and occupied the wrong lane before crashing into the SUV driven by Richard Bigbigan, 30, a civil engineer from Gamu town.

Ramos, who had no driver’s license, was thrown off his motorcycle due to the impact.

Investigators said Ramos’ head hit the pavement, causing his instant death.

Bigbigan was immediately arrested, police said.
