MRT, LRT schedules shorter on New Year’s Eve, spokesman reminds commuters

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro and Light Rail transits will be operating on a shorter schedule today, Saturday, a spokesman of the Light Rail Transit reminded commuters.

Lawyer Hernando Cabrera said that the last trip for LRT Line 1 would leave Baclaran and Roosevelt at 7 p.m. while that of Line 2 would leave Santolan at 7 p.m. and Recto at 7:30 p.m.

The last trains for the MRT3 will leave North Avenue at 8:30 p.m. while the one coming from Taft would leave by 9 p.m.

He said that regular weekend operations would resume for LRT Lines 1 and 2 on January 1 while MRT3 trains would leave North Avenue at 7 a.m. and Taft Avenue by 7:30 a.m.
