MANILA, Philippines — A 4.6 magnitude earthquake rocked Davao del Sur on Tuesday afternoon, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In an earthquake bulletin, state seismologists said the tremor hit six kilometers (km) southwest of Magsaysay in Davao del Sur at 2:07 p.m.
The earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, has a depth of 21 km.
Phivolcs said the tremor was felt at Intensity V in Hagonoy, Davao del Sur, Intensity IV in Davao City and Intensity III in Kidapawan City.
State seismologists also recorded instrumental intensities including Intensity IV in Davao City, Intensity III in Kidapawan City and Intensity I in Kiamba, Sarangani.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks or damage are expected from the tremor.
