CA confirms ad interim appointments of 14 senior AFP officers

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Tuesday swiftly approved the ad interim appointments of 14 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Before the plenary session, the body’s Committee on National Defense deliberated on and recommended the approval of the ad interim appointments of the senior officials.

Below is the list of confirmed ad interim appointments:

1. Amy Adona to the rank of Colonel, Medical Corps (Reserve)
2. Edgardo de Leon to the rank of Brigadier General
3. Norman Biola to the rank of Captain, Philippine Navy (Reserve)
4. Victor Mendoza to the rank Colonel, Philippine Army (Reserve)
5. Erickson Gloria to the rank of Lieutenant General
6. Nestor Abando to the rank of Brigadier General
7. Venus Bajarin to the rank of Brigadier General
8. Jeffrey Hechanova to the rank of Brigadier General
9. Aristotle Gonzalez to the rank of Brigadier General
10. Rey dela Cruz to the rank of Rear Admiral
11. Ernesto Baldovino to the rank of Commodore
12. Florante Amano to the rank of Major General
13. Facundo Palafox IV to the rank of Brigadier General
14. Antonio Lastimado to the rank of Brigadier General
