A mother who abandoned her three children on a bus to smoke marijuana is now facing three counts of child neglect in the United States.

Gulfport Police Department found Andrea Kerins’ children inside a mini-bus parked outside a beach parking lot in Florida around 4:42 a.m., as per official statement on its website, Dec 14.

The children told the officer in patrol that Kerins left around 9:00 p.m. to go out on a boat. The kids under the ages of three, six, and nine did not have access to a cellphone to contact their mother or any other adult for help.

Inside the bus, officers found perishable food that were not stored properly and a bucket designated as a makeshift toilet. The children also had no spare clothing.

Local marine patrol found the mother on board a boat owned by a 46-year-old man named Yuri Radzibaba. The authorities found out that Kerins intended to spend the entire night on the vessel with the man.

The children were taken by the Florida Department of Children and Families for the time being. The bus which Kerins left her children in appears to belong to Meg’s Playhouse and Preschool, an inactive organization which Kerins was not affiliated with. JB
